House prices have increased, but rents have become cheaper

House prices continue to rise, but the rate of growth is slowing. Prices rose 0.4 percent in March, and seasonally adjusted, they rose 0.1 percent.

The growth in housing prices is twice as large in Stavanger as in Oslo.

In some areas, such as the central East and Oslo, prices actually fell, says Managing Director of Eiendom Norge, Henning Lauridsen. So far this year, housing prices in the country have risen by 6.5 percent.
