“I have tried to put into words the whirlwind of being a mother”

The poet and writer Ane Labaka Mayoz has just published the poetry book ‘Hezur berriak’ (SUSA, 2025). In it, she has collected the fears, illusions, violence, social pressures, guilt, joys and fatigue experienced in the months before and after becoming a mother.
