In four of the five largest cities in Paraná, deaths caused by the police increased by 187% in 2024

Four of the five largest cities in Paraná had more deaths caused by security forces last year than in 2023. Of the five most populous municipalities in the state, only Maringá saw a reduction, according to data released earlier this month by the Paraná Public Prosecutor's Office (MP-PR).
