In Homs, the "dean of barrel bombs" was killed.

The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced on Friday the killing of Brigadier General Ali Shalhoub, one of the former regime's most prominent air force officers, during an armed clash with security forces in the Wadi al-Dhahab neighborhood of Homs. The killing occurred as part of a "precise" security operation the ministry described as targeting former officers suspected of involvement in serious violations during the war years.
