This Saturday, many Internet users relayed photos of the lower part of the famous Lepic street, at the foot of the hill (XVIIIe), indignant that the pavements have left room for tar. That they reassure themselves: it is a simple temporary coating.

Several photos taken in the 18th arrondissement of Paris show the transformed rue Lepic, its paving stones replaced by bitumen.

The lower part of Lepic Street, which snakes Montmartre, is being renovated. Its cobblestones have been covered with tar. There is plenty to make many netizens, who denounce a new rampage orchestrated by the socialist town hall of Anne Hidalgo. However, this coating is only temporary: the cobblestones will be resettled within a few days.
