Following the arrest of South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol, who was ousted by parliament, investigators have requested an extension of his detention. The Corruption Investigation Office (CIO) said it submitted a corresponding application on Friday, as the current arrest warrant is only valid for 48 hours and expires on Friday.
