Janković sees no obstacles to completing the C0 canal

The Constitutional Court has ruled that the decree by which the Municipality of Ljubljana expropriated land owners along the C0 canal route is unconstitutional. The municipality will respect the decision, and has also announced that this is not an obstacle to the completion of the canal.

The decree by which the Ljubljana municipality re-categorized some land along the route of the C0 connecting canal into public roads is, according to the Constitutional Court, unconstitutional. The mayor of Ljubljana claims that the constitutional judges did not decide on the C0 canal, but on the re-categorization of field roads along the construction site route.

Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Janković responded to criticism from his former supporter, musician Zoran Predin, at a press conference. The former mayor said that his namesake Janković was embarrassing him by supporting Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. "I advise him: unlike him, I advocate peace, even on basketball courts," Janković told Predin.
