Kapo: Orthodox Church is holding secret negotiations with Russia to fund private school

The Security Police writes in its yearbook that the Estonian Christian Orthodox Church, formerly the Estonian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (MEOC), held covert negotiations with Russia in 2024 to finance a Russian-language private school in Tallinn. The Security Police notes that the church has tried to create various schemes to conceal its activities and transfer sanctioned money to Estonia.

According to Kapo, representatives of the Estonian Christian Orthodox Church (EKÕK, formerly known as MPEÕK) held covert negotiations with Russia to finance a Russian-language private school in Tallinn.
