Kasciunas proposes to revise the Criminal Code to combat the “fifth column”
Laurinas Kasciunas, Chairman of the Conservatives, believes that in order to suppress the activities of the “fifth column”, it is necessary to revise the Lithuanian Criminal Code. According to him, the current article of the Criminal Code, which provides for liability for assisting another state in actions against Lithuania, is not adapted to today's realities.

Conservative Party leader Laurynas Kasčiūnas says that in order to prevent the activities of the fifth column, the Lithuanian Criminal Code (CC) should be revised. According to him, the current CC article, which provides for liability for assisting another state to act against Lithuania, is not adapted to today's realities. Currently, CC Article 118 provides for liability for assisting another state to act against the Republic of Lithuania.
