La Crosse Fire Department installing smoke detectors in homes on Saturday
(WLAX/WEUX) – As part of the national “Sound the Alarm” effort, fire departments in the Coulee Region will be installing smoke detectors in homes this Saturday, free of charge. Fire officials say smoke alarms should be replaced every ten years. The La Crosse, Onalaska, and Holmen fire department are all taking part in the effort.
