UHI students across the partnership celebrate success at ALBAS 2025
Eight students from across the UHI partnership were recognised at the 2025 Awards for Land-based and Aquaculture Skills (ALBAS), hosted by Lantra Scotland. The event, held at Crieff Hydro Hotel on Thursday 6 March, celebrated outstanding achievements in the land-based, aquaculture, and environmental conservation sectors.

Lantra – the training and skills body for the land-based and environment sector – has expanded its capabilities in the aquaculture sector after taking over the leadership of a UK-wide training initiative focused on harmful algal blooms (HABs). Funded by the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) UK Seafood Fund: Skills and Training Scheme, the programme is designed to help producers mitigate the challenges associated with HABs.…
