(Harlan) The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office says at approximately 4:30 a.m., Deputies responded to the 1800 block of College Place in Harlan for a welfare check. Upon arrival, Deputies were met with a standoff situation with an armed male subject. Deputies were negotiating with the male subject when he made aggressive movements towards law enforcement.
