House fire in La Crosse claims life of pet
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) - A pet is dead after a house fire in La Crosse on April 5th. The fire department says it was called to a home on the 1200 block of East Avenue around 11 pm. When crews arrived, they could see flames coming through the back of the house. No one else inside the home, but a pet inside the home did die from smoke inhalation. The house sustained significant damage. The fire is still under investigation
