Linn-Mar board votes to rescind protections for transgender students
Hunter 04/5/25 Citing the Iowa Civil Rights Act, the Linn-Mar school board has voted to remove a policy that protects transgender students from discrimination. Iowa lawmakers this session removed gender identity as a protected class under the Act, and the school board voted 6-1 to follow suit.
