Little League museum to display autographed ball Babe Ruth hit 500 feet in Pa. city

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT — A baseball autographed by Babe Ruth when he was on a barnstorming team that visited Williamsport in 1923 will be on display at the World of Little League museum in South Williamsport on Saturday.Ruth autographed the ball on Oct. 31, 1923, after he hit it an estimated 500 feet out of Grays Park, the home field of the Williamsport Grays. That site today is part of the Pennsylvania College of Technology campus.
