Another case of violence that tarnishes Portuguese soccer. Last Sunday, in an Algarve youth championship game between Esperança de Lagos and the Bela Vista Academic Association, the referee had to suspend the match due to the real pitched battle that occurred after a Bela Vista player was expelled. The PSP was not in place due to the fact that it was no longer mandatory to police the games.
