I have been reading up on fishing in Long, Slang, and Turtle Ponds in the St. Regis Canoe Area (books, SRCA UMP, stocking reports, fisheries surveys, etc.), and it seems these water bodies are most notable for warmwater species like largemouth bass. I am thinking that this likely means their brook trout populations are low or nonexistent. Should I expect this to be the case when fishing there in a few weeks?
