YouTube @ NBC Bay Area San Francisco’s Union Square is losing another iconic shop.  Saks Fifth Avenue has announced it plans to close its Union Square location for good on May 10th.  It was less than a year ago that Saks laid off dozens of employees at the store at went to “appointment-only” operations.  Saks becomes the latest major retailer to close its Union Square location in recent years, joining Bloomingdales and Nordstrom.
