(KRON) — The driver of a Toyota Tundra was struck and killed by a loose tire while traveling northbound on I-680 Thursday near Alamo, the California Highway Patrol said. The crash occurred after the tire detached from a van traveling on the opposite side of the interstate at approximately 1:35 p.m., south of Stone Valley Road.
