Bridge on Magdeburger Ring threatens demolition

In Saxony-Anhalt's state capital Magdeburg, an important inner-city bridge has been blocked due to security deficiencies.

The bridge over the Damashkeplatz in the centre of Magdeburg must probably be demolished. A review came to the conclusion: The same steel was installed as the collapsed Carola Bridge in Dresden.

Vasa Bridge in Stockholm to be demolished — the bridge was built in 1878 and is in very poor condition — may need to be closed urgently

The bridges of the Magdeburger Ring over Damashkeplatz will be completely closed from Tuesday. The reason: massive damage.
