Sheinbaum's security reports clash with citizen perception: 70% of Mexicans feel insecure
The government of President Claudia Sheinbaum has updated its security report on Tuesday in an effort to make visible the advances of a strategy that has not managed to take off. Omar García Harfuch, in charge of the Security Secretariat, has taken heart for its results: 18,712 people arrested in what goes from the six-year period for high-impact crimes, the confiscation of more than 144 tons of drugs and the securing of 9,600 weapons.
