Man accused of stabbing Palm Springs police officer pleads not guilty

Luis Medina INDIO, Calif. (KUNA) – A 41-year-old man accused of stabbing a Palm Springs police officer during a disturbance call has pleaded not guilty. Phillip Roger Lester Smith was charged with assaulting a peace officer and criminal trespass, along with enhanced serious bodily injury.
