Court sentences medical doctor to seven years in jail for N127m fraud

A medical doctor, Geraldine Orok Ita, was sentenced to seven years in jail for N127 million fraud by a Federal High Court in Calabar, Cross River State.
Ita was convicted on 12 counts, including forgery and receiving proceeds of crime, after a trial that began in 2019.
