Melvin Honeycutt, of Milan, was born on October 16, 1945, a son to Baxter Sr. and Elizabeth Calhoun Honeycutt.  He served his country with the United States Air Force in the Vietnam War. Melvin later married Marleen Davidson on March 10, 1972 in Greensburg and together they raised three children.  Melvin worked for many years at Batesville Casket Company, retiring in 2006.  He was an active member of the Milan American Legion, Milan VFW, and the
