Ministers could be held accountable for missed European funds. The threat comes from the top of the Government. Romania risks losing almost 14 billion euros from the PNRR due to delays. 14 hospitals no longer receive European funding. As well as dozens of projects to modernize railways or build schools.

There is a wind of restructuring blowing over the Government. Some ministers with poor results in attracting European funds could be replaced, says Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, with the decision to be made by the Coalition.
