A Miramar police officer taking a suspect to jail was injured in a head-on collision on Saturday night in Fort Lauderdale, police said. The crash happened at 11 p.m. at Andrews Avenue and Southeast 17th Street. The officer and suspect were taken to Broward Health Medical Center.
