Mother and Grandmother Accused of Restraining Girl, 11, to Bed, Forcing Her to Eat Cat Food: DA

The mother and grandmother of an 11-year-old girl have been arrested and are facing multiple charges related to abuse after a visit to the hospital for seizure-like symptoms led to the discovery of signs of physical abuse, before she said she was restrained to the bed for extended periods of time.

The youngest was severely malnourished and weighed just over 22 kilograms when the case was uncovered.

A Pennsylvania mother and grandmother were arrested this week and charged with the abuse of a 12-year-old girl they allegedly restrained in her bed and fed cat food.
