More than 130 Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland branches to close

Lloyds Banking Group will close 136 branches in the UK, including six near Glasgow, between May 2025 and March 2026.
The closures affect 61 Lloyds, 61 Halifax, and 14 Bank of Scotland branches, as more customers prefer online banking.
All workers at the affected branches will be offered jobs elsewhere in the company.
Customers can still access banking services through apps, telephone banking, and over 11,000 Post Office branches.
