Name the Denied: Afrofeminism from Puerto Rico

In "AFROfeminista: Raza y mujer en Puerto Rico", social anthropologist Barbara Abadía-Rexach shines light on some of the historical concealments that have marked the lives of Black women on the island. Her work is a courageous bet to name what for too long has been silenced: racism, colorism, sexism and the structural exclusion suffered by people of African descent, especially women, in a country that still refuses to recognize their blackness.
