ELD outlines GE2025 rules, including new law banning deepfakes and manipulated online content
Singapore will head to the polls on 3 May 2025, following the dissolution of Parliament and issuance of the Writ of Election by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam on 15 April. The Elections Department (ELD) announced that Polling Day will be a public holiday. Employers must allow voters reasonable time to cast their votes, according to the Ministry of Manpower.
