Police are launching a homicide investigation following a woman’s death earlier this week. On Monday, officers were dispatched around 11:35 a.m. to the 300 block of Heacox Lane in reference to a welfare check, according to police. Newport News police are investigating a homicide on Heacox Lane.Around 11:36 a.m. on Monday police responded to the 300 block of Heacox Lane for a welfare check.
