Authorities in Russia’s southern republic of Chechnya publicly displayed the body of a teenager accused of stabbing two traffic police officers earlier this week, local media and Chechen opposition groups said Thursday.

On April 9, in the city of Achkhoy-Martan in Chechnya, the body of a young man who had attacked a traffic police post the day before was laid before the audience at a rally to which employees of budgetary organizations, students and schoolchildren were obliged to attend.
