Norway has now received delivery of all 52 fighter jets ordered from the United States in 2009. The Minister of Defense describes the purchase as a success.

The Norwegian Armed Forces also received the first missile for new fighters, the Joint Strike Missile (JSM).

– Norway is the first country to have received all of its planned F-35s. The acquisition is a success story. Today, the Armed Forces also received its first super missile from Defence Materiel and KDA. Work is now starting to fill the stocks here at Ørland with the JSM missile, says Minister of Defence Tore O. Sandvik, who attended the celebration at Ørland Air Station.

Norwegian Minister of Defence Ture O. Sandwick said his country was the first to receive all 52 F-35 fighters ordered from the United States.

The very first Joint Strike missile was in space as defense leaders marked that Norway is the first country in the world to have received all of its F-35 fighter jets.
