Novartis has withdrawn from one of two North Carolina incentive agreements tied to its Durham gene therapy site, citing slower-than-expected growth. The company met job and investment goals under its first JDIG but won’t pursue a second grant tied to 200 additional hires. Its Durham facility remains fully operational.
