On Wednesday, April 23rd Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious device in the area of Shoshone Valley Road in Twentynine Palms. After an investigation by deputies the device appeared to be an unexploded 40mm combat munition round, which prompted the San Bernardino Bombs and Arson detail to respond and take over the investigation scene. This afternoon, an explosive was found at the intersection of Prinsengracht and Vijzelgracht - close to the entrance to the Vijzelgracht metro stop. After reporting it to the police, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service (EOD) arrived on the scene to secure the object. A police spokesperson said that it was 'a dated copy'.
