The Winter Olympics and the World Cup. Two of the most watched sporting events on the planet will be held in 2026. The Russians are also eyeing both of these events, even though their athletes are banned from international competition due to the war in Ukraine. However, they still hope that the national hockey and football teams will be able to participate in the events. How realistic is that?

Since their exclusion from international competitions, the Russian biathlon stars have always stressed that they are still able to keep up with the World Cup without any problems. Daniil Serokhvostov sees this differently. The 25-year-old now openly admitted: he and his teammates have been pretty sure of the international competition.
