In the anniversary of the liberation of the Bergen-Belssen camp, the representatives of Germany and Israel warned of the risk of Shoah being forgotten or relativized.

Survivors, members of former prisoners and hundreds of guests recalled the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the two camps on Sunday in the former Bergen-Belsen and Flossenbürg concentration camp.

Holocaust survivors on Sunday urged the world to keep their memories alive as Germany marked 80 years since the liberation of the Bergen-Belsen Nazi concentration camp.

"It's overwhelming. Free. Free. Free. FREE. I have to cry, laugh, cry. Can't find the words." Marie Tims-Brouwer, a businesswoman in Rotterdam, wrote this in her diary on 5 May 1945.
