Voting now open for Somerville’s second cycle of participatory budgeting

Mayor Katjana Ballantyne invites all Somerville residents ages 12 and older to vote in the city’s second cycle of Participatory Budgeting. Voting is open now through April 30 and residents will help decide how to invest $1 million in community-generated projects to improve Somerville. Participatory Budgeting is about putting decision-making power directly in the hands of our community, and unsurprisingly, our residents have stepped up once again…

Last February, the municipality and the porters celebrated with great pomp the inauguration of the projects of the first participatory budget of the municipality. Launched in 2023, the concept allows the inhabitants and workers of Draguignan to present projects to the town hall.
