Cuban airport in Varadero detects introduction of drugs

Havana, 1 Apr (RHC) The Customs Office of the Republic of Cuba (AGRC), in its ongoing work to ensure safety and prevent illicit trafficking in controlled substances, detected, at Varadero airport, the introduction of drugs for consumption by a traveller, who hid it inside a shampoo container.

The case joins other recent ones where attempts have been made to introduce drugs into diapers, flip-flops and everyday products, raising alarms about new drug trafficking strategies in Cuba.
