P’burg’s fledgling crime diversion program lauded before N.J. lawmakers

The Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion agency in Phillipsburg convened a meeting with New Jersey legislators on Friday to showcase the agency’s impact on Warren County.Since its launch in 2023, LEAD Phillipsburg has diverted four cases referred by local law enforcement. In three out of four cases, clients had no further contact with police after receiving the assistance they required.
