Pegida leader gets community service for insulting Muslim community
Pegida leader Edwin Wagensveld received twenty hours of community service and a one-week suspended prison sentence in Arnhem on Thursday. He must also transfer 500 euros to the Violent Crimes Compensation Fund. According to the police judge, Wagensveld was guilty of insulting the Muslim community in the Netherlands. He also insulted Arnhem mayor Ahmed Marcouch and did not comply with an area ban.
