On the campaign trail, both major federal political parties have promised to remove tolls on the Confederation Bridge connecting Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. But these days, it’s hard to find a politician in the region that isn’t ardently against tolls of all kinds. However, while removing tolls might be good politics, it’s bad policy.
