New laws crack down on street gangs: Penalties will be tougher this summer
The penalties for street gang crimes will become tougher in July, the Ministry of Justice announced. Two new grounds for harsher punishment will be added to the Criminal Code, the Ministry of Justice said in a statement. As of July, the new grounds for harsher punishment are committing a crime as part of the activities of a criminal gang and so-called humiliating violence.
