People in a part of Epsom have been praised for their quick-thinking in helping to detain a couple of would-be moped thieves.

Two criminals were arrested by the police for attempting to steal a motorcycle by pushing it along the public road in the Juan XXIII neighborhood during the early hours of Saturday. It all happened around 7 a.m. on Calle Carrero Patagonón at 2800 when the officers of Sectional Quinta were conducting a preventive patrol in the area until they met two people trying to take a motorcycle suspiciously. People in a part of Epsom have been praised for their quick-thinking in helping to detain a couple of would-be moped thieves.

Two people, both in balaclavas, were seen wheeling a bike from a garden on the 9th of March. Residents called police and detained the suspects until officers arrived. Two boys, 13 and 14, were arrested and bailed as investigations continue.
