Pet Shop Boys released a song in memory of Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny. A track called Hymn (“Hymn”) was published on the duo's YouTube channel. The text was written by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe based on the Russian anthem. One of the verses says: “Free Russia Let Russians agree that power is pointless if no one is free “Freedom of Russia Let Russians agree that power is pointless if no one is free.”
