Kosovo authorities continue to close parallel Serbian institutions

The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petković, stated that members of the so-called Kosovo police raided Serbian facilities and institutions in Štrpce and Leposavic today in several synchronized actions, and pointed out that by doing so, the Prime Minister of the provisional Pristina institutions, Albin Kurti, continued to illegally shut down the few remaining Serbian institutions in Kosovo and Metohija.

Kosovo authorities today closed several institutions that operated in Kosovo under a parallel Serbian system and that Pristina considers illegal. The Serbian government's office for Kosovo condemned this as a continuation of the persecution of Serbs and warned that thousands of residents depend on the work of these institutions, Kosovo and Serbian media reported.
