Police officers taunted Mohamed's mother: Call your best Somali

A twelve-year-old little sister was the only family member the police spoke to when they decided not to track down the missing Mohamed, reports P4 Jönköping.

Mohamed's worried mother called the police about her missing son but was denied an interpreter because the police thought it was "overkill", reports P4 Jönköping. A police officer was asked to call the mother "in his best Somali". Days later, the 14-year-old was found murdered.

The second time 14-year-old Mohamed's mother called the police to report her son's disappearance, the police were taunted about her language, according to internal conversations that P4 Jönköping has seen.
