Anderson County deputies warn residents about phone scam

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - The Anderson County Sheriff's Office said they have been made aware of scam calls, pretending to be Anderson County deputies. Deputies said the scammers are using deputies' names and are claiming residents owe money, and if not paid they will be arrested immediately. Deputies said they will never ask for money or call and threaten a warrant. You can report the scam by calling 864-260-4400.
