Poland’s President Andrzej Duda said his country should seek the protection of France’s nuclear deterrent against a potential Russian threat as he continued to call for access to US atomic weapons.

"I believe we can accept both solutions," the Polish president said in an interview with Bloomberg. He emphasized that cooperation with France in this area does not exclude actions towards the United States. "How does NATO intend to respond to this? My answer is very simple. We invite you to extend the sharing of nuclear weapons also to our territory," Andrzej Duda said.

The Polish president declares that his country is open to receiving nuclear protection from both France and the US, amid the deployment of Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus and growing concerns in Eastern Europe.
