NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) — A light has returned to Wickford, blinking at boats in Narragansett Bay for the first time in more than 100 years. Poplar Point Lighthouse was first built in 1831, guiding boaters until it was turned off in 1882. It's considered the oldest integrated wooden lighthouse in the country.
